Can you remember the best day you’ve ever had or even imagine one better? Now contemplate what it would be like to have a year’s worth of similarly amazing days. Three–hundred and sixty–five days of fellowship, fun, accomplishment, and joy sounds incredible. But even that—if it were possible (and it isn’t)—wouldn’t compare to what awaits us when we reach heaven.

The best day in this life is a mere shadow compared to what we’ll experience in eternity, and being a servant in heaven is better than any other existence, no matter what power or fleshly pleasure might come with it.

As believers, we never have to live in the fear of missing out. When we reach eternity, any imaginable joy we did not experience on this earth will seem like a dream. 

We will not think, “I wish I’d gotten the chance to do that one thing!” We will see how silly it was that we worried about anything this world could offer when we had all the glories of heaven awaiting us!

The days and years seem long in the middle of our struggle, but one day in heaven will make up for all. If we could fathom that now, we would never be tempted away from the Lord by the things of this life.

Unceasing, unfathomable joy awaits us!
